Coinciding with the closing ceremony of the seventh session of the second Parliament on 7th July 2016, His Majesty the King awarded the six female Parliament members with "Goen Ta", a symbol of responsibility, equivalent to the "Patang". It is a reflection of His Majesty's far reaching vision of gender equality. NCWC would like congratulate our Chairperson (Lyonpo Dorji Choden) and the other esteemed recipients.
