BWPC Orientation workshop Day 2

                06/Nov/2019

Started the day with positive vibes and energies with a yoga exercise from Aum Lily Wangchuk. It was all about demystifying and understanding the concepts of gender, patriarchy, equality and equity as policy makers and legislators. A very invigorating session by resource person Mr. Charles Chuavel on the topic of Women and Parliaments - Tools for Effective Participation. Experiences and practices in different countries were shared fitting the theme of the day ‘Parliament & Gender’. Bringing it home BNEW & NCWC presented the situation analysis of women in leadership in Bhutan and the proposed measures & policies (National Plan of Action to Promote Gender Equality in Elected Office- NPAPGEEO & Draft Gender Equality Policy)
