Consultation on marriageable age review report

The National Commission for Women and Children has come up with a marriageable age review report through consultation with key stakeholders in earlier 2021. The report also contains recommendations to take in the best interest of the child. The National Commission for Women and Children with the intention to revise the Marriage Act, 1980 and its amendments hold a consultative meeting with the members of the parliament, particularly members of the Women, Children and Youth Committee, Human Rights and Foreign Relation Committee, and Social and Culture Committee on September 14, 2021, in Thimphu.
