NCWC - Executive Order
NCWC- Executive Order MANDATES OF THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN (NCWC) The National Commission for Women and Children holds the pivotal roles of the Government agency for issues relating to Women and Children in the Country. In line with Section 54 of the Child Care and Protection Act (CCPA) of Bhutan 2011, Section 9 of the Child Adoption Act (CAA) of Bhutan 2012 and Section 6 of the Domestic Violence Prevention Act (DVPA) of Bhutan 2013, the Commission shall have the status and powers of the Competent Authority as specified in three Acts. In order to promote and protect the rights of women and children, the National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC) will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of formulating policies, regulations, monitoring and coordination mechanisms. This Executive Order outlines the mandates and responsibilities of the NCWC.
