Training on Introduction to Basic Concepts, Methods and tools for Gender Mainstreaming

The National Commission for Women and Children with support from UNDP conducted a training on basic gender, gender mainstreaming and mainstreaming tools for 30 (no. female :16 Male: 14 ) Mainstreaming Reference Group (MRG) members and Gender Focal Person of eastern dzongkhags from 16th to 20th May, 2022. The training is part of a series of capacity development programs carried out by the NCWC to ensure mainstreaming of gender concerns in the sector plans, policies and programs. The MRG-comprising of relevant sectors/ sector heads to mainstream cross cutting issues in the sectoral and local government plans was formed in 2012.
