Ministerial meeting at Delhi
The Bhutanese Delegates lead by Hon’ble Lyonpo Dorji Choden, Ministry of Work and Human Settlement, Chairperson National Commission for women and Children attended the Technical meeting and the 4th Ministerial meeting organized by the South Asian Initiative to End Violence Against Children (SAIEVAC) hosted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India from 9-11 May, 2016 in New Delhi.
The technical meeting reviewed the progress of 10 years of SAIEVAC. Presented some of the good practices in the region such as the Track Child and Khoya Paya: ICT initiatives to track missing child,ChildLine 1098- India’s safety net for children.
In the Ministerial meeting each member state’s minister made their statement followed by the adoption of the recommendations of the 4th Ministerial meeting.
