Gender-Nationally Determined Contributions Project in Bhutan
National Commission for Women and Children as one of the implementing partners for Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) project with National Environment Commission under UNDP funding includes Mitigation and Adaptation actions on 3 key sectors as agriculture, waste and energy.
Two day workshop on gender and climate change organised by NCWC is conducted by Ms.Koh Miyaoi, Regional Gender Advisor , UNDP , Bangkok , and Ms. Evelyne Andrew Whitworth , Gender and Poverty Specialist Governance for climate change UNDP Bangkok. Workshop covers the basics of gender-responsive climate change. Climate change adaptation and mitigation is used as a framework to better understand the linkages between gender equality and climate change. 30 participants in the workshop includes selected GFPs, technical personnel from various Ministries and agencies, GNHC and UNDP.
The objective of the workshop is to:
